I already had an excellent HVAC guy who had serviced properties in Los Angeles County for me, but when the heater at a property in Ventura County broke down, I had to find someone new as the location was outside of my guy’s service area. I was a bit worried as I know how important it is to deal with someone both competent and trustworthy when it comes to heating and air systems which are not cheap! Plus the residents of the property were elderly which meant that heat needed to be restored asap. After researching a number of large repair companies across the web that promised same day service (but who either didn’t pick up the phone or had ratings that smelled of foul play), I decided to give Anacapa a try. My call was answered by a friendly receptionist who offered to schedule a technician for the following morning. Brian showed up promptly at the appointed time. He was courteous, skilled, and dedicated. He diagnosed an erratic motherboard on the aging system, sourced and acquired the part from a supplier in the Valley, and returned that afternoon to install and configure it. His explanation of the issue and cost was clear. There was no upselling or shenanigans, just a solid repair done at a reasonable price and good turn-around. Thank you!

Update:
On February 7th, 2024, I noticed that my heater wasn’t working properly. I contacted Anacapa. Tristan and Rodger came to my home that afternoon. They were able to diagnose the problem, and explained in depth, what was wrong (a faulty valve).
Anacapa ordered the part, Tristan and Rodger returned for the repair ( very involved, many hours repair), the following week.
They were professional, kind, friendly, and explained what the process entailed.
My heater is now working as it should. I highly recommend Anacapa Heating & Air! I wouldn’t use anyone else. Thank you for your outstanding service!

My air conditioner went down on a Sunday and after 3 days of promises from First American Home Warranty, 3 different confirmations that someone would be out here (in 111 degree weather) I made 1 call to ANACAPA and an angel named Brian who showed up as scheduled and on time and promptly replaced the part and the air conditioner was up and running within an hour. They provided the best overall value when I researched and met with 3 companies for an estimate in two new AC units to be installed in my duplex. Fan went out during recent heat wave(naturally!). called anacapa and was scheduled for 2 days hence(fair time frame, given the high volume of calls during heat wave,I'm sure). Since we didn't have to leave while they worked, I saw them in action. Our unit stopped working and called Anacapa. They sent out Tony and he was fantastic, he kept us informed as to what he was going to do and what he found as the problem. Unfortunately it was late Friday and unable to get parts. He was out Monday morning and repaired the unit and even showed the bad part and explained everything. He went well above what others have in his explanations and he made sure that we understood and not just saying things. When you call, Maria was fantastic, she understood us and kept us informed, even called and asked if the tech could come earlier then scheduled. Too bad can only give 5 starts!
